Cannibal crocodile devours younger rival after one-sided battle

German wildlife photographer, Jens Cullman, was at a waterhole at Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe, Africa when he witnessed nature at its savage best. An older crocodile attacked a younger rival which was no match for the bigger beast. The big bully clamped his jaw down on his unlucky adversary and tossed him around like a rag doll.

The patrol team of 157 Task Force Battalion, 7 Brigade, yesterday ambushed and killed a Boko Haram terrorist spy at Barwati village, Kukawa LGA. The insurgent who was allegedly on a reconnaissance mission to infiltrate the army troops’ position, was killed while trying to gain entry into the military location. Weapons recovered from him include 1 AK-47 rifle, 59 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, one 40mm x 46mm BGL2 grenade, 1 bandolier and 3 AK-47 rifle magazines from him. Mother who killed her 4 kids described as 'sweet'

A mother, 29 year old, Shanynthia "Yari" Gardner, who was charged in the stabbing deaths of four of her children made her first court appearance Tuesday, four days after the children were found dead in a Tennessee apartment.
Gardner allegedly stabbed 4 of her 5 children. 6-month-old Yahzi, was dead in a baby carrier in the living room, with her sister, 3-year-old Sya, next to her. In a nearby bedroom, deputies found 2 year old Sahvi, dead and lying on a mattress and her 4-year-old brother, Tallen, on the floor next to her.

The fifth child, Gardner's eldest son, Dallen, escaped from the bloody scene, yelling that his mother had killed his sister.

PDP vows to resist inauguration of Uche Ogah as PDP governor, says they will rather die than see it happen

Abia state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have vowed to stop the inauguration of Uche Ogah as the new governor of the state, saying they will rather die than see it happen. Chairman of PDP in Abia state, Johnson Onuigbo, made the party's position known after an emergency meeting in Umuahia yesterday night. N2.9bn fraud: Court grants ex-Adamawa state gov, Umaru Fintiri, N500m bail

Former governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri, who was remanded in prison custody yesterday by Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the FCT High Court over allegations of N2.9 billion fraud, has been granted bail. Fintiri is being prosecuted by the EFCC on a five count charge of money laundering to the tune of N2. 9 billion.

FCT Court did not sack Sheriff – Oladipo

Ousted chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff has dismissed the report of his sack by a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, describing the report as “false and a clear misrepresentation of the ruling of the court.”

Mum who was expecting twins shocked when she gave birth to quintuplets

A 37 year old Ukrainian mum, Oksana Kobeletska who was pregnant said she was expecting twins but was shocked after she gave birth to quintuplets. Kobeletska who already has a 3 year old daughter with her husband, gave birth to three boys and two girls via a c-section with the help of 8 doctors and Nurses on June 24.


While she was delighted with her little newborns - she said she was shocked after the birth in Ukrainian city of Odessa.
She said:
"I'm very shocked because I thought that I was having twins or something like that. "Nobody in our family has ever had it. There was not a single case of that kind. 

Over 300,000 candidates apply for 750 EFCC work positions

Over 300,000 candidates applied for the 750 job positions advertised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Director of Public Affairs of EFC, Mr Osita Nwaja, made the announcement in Enugu yesterday. Nwaja said that the recruitment was segmented and that the first phase of the recruitment exercise ended on June 26.
